Good morning Troop 2,
I wanted to let you know we had an uneventful trip to Auburn University and arrived at 7:20 am. It rained all the way down, but no traffic issues so early on a Saturday morning! Got the boys to their correct classes. So all is good. My more than enthusiastic adult leaders who graduated from Auburn University are being way too kind wanting to show me, an University of Alabama graduate, all the sights. They don’t need to be so kind, but a Scout is Courteous, so I am happy to sightsee. Ha!
Will keep all of you posted. Enjoy the day.

Troop 2,
We arrived at Lost Sea safely. We stopped at for lunch in Cleveland, TN, then continued on until we arrive around 2:45 PM CST. Boys are excited to get started. Plan is to eat supper around 4:30 PM, change into grubby clothes, and hike into the cave around 6:15 PM. Again, I won’t have any cell service during the time we are inside the cave. I will send an email when we depart from Lost Sea tomorrow morning.

Good morning Troop 2,
This is a reminder we will resume our weekly troop meeting starting tomorrow, Tuesday, January 3rd at 7 PM at the Troop Lodge. As always, we want all Scouts dressed in their Class A’s.
We will also start signing Scouts up our next campout to The Lost Sea in Chattanooga, TN to be held Jan 27-29. Please remind your son about this very fun sightseeing weekend and campout. More details are forthcoming.
I also want say thank you to all of the many Scouts and parents who came out this past Saturday to break down the tree lot. Everything came down without difficulties and got all of our equipment put away fairly quickly. Many thanks to the Scouts and parents who had to leave town for the weekend and helped breakdown portions of our lot days before we met Saturday. I appreciate everyone’s hard work on the Christmas tree sales. The profits we made will truly enable us to continue providing our boys the very best that Scouting has to offer. Thank you so much for your support!
Finally, as Mr. Faulkner mentioned at our Christmas Court of Honor, I will be the ACTING Scoutmaster for our troop while he takes time off to spend time with his family. Please note, this is a temporary change in leadership and I expect Mr. Faulkner to return in February. I will continue to do my best to hold our troop meetings and upcoming campouts. I need from you parents your continued support and help. We are blessed with a number of dedicated adult leaders who help me lead our troop, but I also need my parents for support and help. If you have any questions, problems, or suggestions, please let me know.
See everyone at the troop meeting tomorrow evening, 7PM, Troop Lodge, dressed in Class A’s.

We will have our Parent Meeting this evening from 7:30 to 8:00. There is no Scout Meeting – so leave the boys at home. Please bring the Troop Code of Conduct (it has been distributed via email) with you to the meeting. The meeting should not last very long but we do need all parents to attend.
